Angel Ocasio has made a name for himself over the past 30 years as a top physical comedian and clown. He performs and teaches comedy & clowning skills throughout the United States & Puerto Rico, as well as internationally; Canada, Bermuda, Malaysia, China & Mexico. He produces, directs, writes, performs and emcees for variety, vaudeville, & USO style shows. Angel is also an actor who has appeared in several commercials, including Harley-Davidson and Figaro’s Pizza. He has appeared in various local television programs and was in a Disney-NBC made-for-television movie, "A Gift to My Daughter," also appeared as a background actor in several episodes of “GRIMM” and in the movie “Wild.” As a clown strolling act, Angel has entertained the audiences for such top performers as Willie Nelson, James Taylor, John Mayer and Pink Martini. He has performed on stage as the opening act for Wayne Newton and Patrick Lamb. A graduate of the Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Clown College, class of ’84, and filled in as the featured clown for Culpepper & Merriweather Great Combined Circus for the summer of 1999. And, in 2003, Angel entertained for a Cirque du Soleil premiere party in Portland, Oregon. That same year he was elected as the Clowns of America International “Clown of the Year.” Angel is the official Portland Rose Festival’s award-winning “Clown Prince" now in his 9th year and he also is the artistic director and instructor for the Rose Festival Clowns, now in its 11th year.
